This project worked to address to what extent developing the concept of a local market within a typical eco-industrial cluster can provide a new value stream for the industries involved, in order to increase their financial gain as well as improve efficiency. To fulfill this aim a multi-market model was developed for GreenLab Skive where industries can participate in different local markets such as electricity, heat, oxygen, etc. In key focus was the economic operation of power-to-hydrogen (P2H) facilities installed in the cluster and examining how participating in these local markets can increase their economic feasibility.
In a local market P2H units are able to sell their by-products such as excess heat and oxygen, providing additional financial gain for themselves.
