GreenLab Innovation Center is now a reality

Funding secured for GreenLab Innovation Center

Thanks to contributions from Norlys, Spar Vest Fonden and most recently Skive Municipality, funding for GreenLab’s upcoming Innovation Center is now in place. The ambition is to create a green beacon for innovation, collaboration, and research that will attract start-ups, established businesses, students, and researchers from both Denmark and abroad.

A powerhouse for tomorrow’s green solutions
An innovation center has long been on GreenLab’s drawing board and wish list. The goal is to establish a physical meeting point for everyone working on the green transition of industry, the rethinking of energy systems, and the testing of new green technologies. Here, companies, researchers, students and entrepreneurs will work side by side and inspire one another, and the public will also be welcome in the architectural landmark with innovative spaces designed to promote activity and learning. Now that the final funding is secured, the project can officially begin.

Thomas Helsgaun, CEO of GreenLab, is pleased that the final details are now in place:

“We have worked hard to secure the necessary funding, and we are very excited to officially launch the project. The innovation center will be a powerhouse for tomorrow’s green solutions and a unique environment where researchers, companies, and students can come together to drive meaningful change and be part of something bigger.

Start in 2025 – completion in 2027
Project planning begins immediately. Once tendering, design, layout, and permits are in place, construction is expected to take about a year. The Innovation Center is scheduled for completion in 2027.
