This lot is occupied by Eurowind Energy and their 44 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility.
The battery will be integrated into GreenLab’s infrastructure and the directly connected hybrid energy park, which already combines 84.8 MW of wind and solar power with an annual production of 200-220GWh.
The new BESS will play an important role in GreenLab’s integrated energy system. It will help balance the variable production from wind and solar with the energy consumption of the industries located in the park. In practice, that means it enables peak shaving, allowing industries in GreenLab to shift their energy demand away from high-load periods. This results in a more stable and efficient local energy system where green power is used where and when it’s needed most.
